Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau state, has urged the Supreme Court to confirm his election victory and declare him the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
Governor Mutfwang asserted in his appeal that the APC and its candidate’s argument falls under pre-election issues within the PDP’s jurisdiction, arguing that the APC lacks the legal standing to challenge it.
The Court of Appeal removed Governor Mutfwang from the PDP, stating that the matter of nomination and sponsorship was both a pre-election and post-election concern.
